Overview/Fluctuations ~ Sept 2026 Portland Metro Market Data:
New Listings rose and Pending & Closed Sales dropped in September. Basically, there are more people wanting to sell than Buyers wanting to buy. A lot of this is seasonal & matching last year, meaning a typical fall slowing- And/but prices are holding steady & even increasing in areas, possibly given motivations at this time of year to Close based on year-end objectives and other similar reasoning. That said, Market Time increased, and though this may give Buyers more time to decide, it makes Sellers wonder what’s going on. Mortgage Rates still are playing a big role in the answer to that question- They rose after our last report, and now are settling back down. Everyone is hoping they decrease further, of course.
