Overview/Fluctuations Per RMLS Market Data for the Portland Metro Area, March 2019:
- There were 3,504 New Listings in March 2019 which was down 3.9% from March of 2018’s 3,648, and substantially up at 43.4% from the previous month/ February’s total of 2,444.
- At 2,183 March 2019’s Closed Sales cooled 7.9% from last year/ March 2018’s 2,371, BUT, were up quite a bit at 26.5 % from the previous month/ Feb 2019’s total of 1,726.
- March 2019’s Pending Sales (accepted offers), at 2,738 were down 5.4% from March of 2018’s 2,894, but were ahead a whopping 24.0% from the previous month/ Feb 2019’s total of 2,208.
- The Average Sale Price in March 2019 of $447,900 was up $2,000 from last year/ March 2018’s $445,900, and up from the previous month/ Feb 2019’s $441,100 by nearly $7,000.
- The “Median” Sale Price (smack dab in the middle of all sales) this March 2019 of $399,000 was up $4,000.00 from last year/ March 2018’s $395,000, and down slightly/$900.00, from the previous month/ Feb 2019’s $399,900.
